HONORING HISTORY. PROMOTING UNITY. CELEBRATING SISTERHOOD.
Black women have been an integral part of shaping our collective history, but are often unseen and under-celebrated. This week not only brings to the forefront past and present power of Black women, but it forms the necessary foundations for that influence to continue in the future.
Five days of unique experiences, educational moments, and GREAT food makes our annual HerStory Tour one of our favorite weeks of the year. Hear more in the video below...
DAY ONE: We started our week with a service project where participants created bookmarks with inspirational quotes to be donated to local libraries.

DAY TWO: The group visited The Withers Collection Museum & Gallery to learn about Black history and the civil rights movement, through photography and art.

DAY THREE: The girls heard from Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Rho Gamma Chapter from the University of Memphis. They spoke on sisterhood and how Black Greek letter organizations can bond through strolling and stepping.

DAY FOUR: The staff planned an evening in what we coined "Trap and Paint Night", giving the girls a chance to relax with mocktails while using their creativity to produce some quality visual art.

DAY FIVE: The week concluded with a bang by attending Shakin' the Mess Outta Misery, a Black History-themed performance at Hattiloo Theatre. Written by Shay Youngblood and directed by Jasmine Blackmon, this play was a great way to cap off a week of Black Excellence.
