MARY JO GREEN
Marketing Director + Co-Founder
Role: Marketing, Fundraising, Creative input, Executive Team
Started: November 2013
"I have always enjoyed creating experiences for others to enjoy and feel impacted. Growing up, I considered being a teacher or a career in advertising. In college, I was asked to implement a Communications Department at Hope Church. I learned a lot about promotions and live production to provide memorable experiences. Now I get to blend my passion for engaging youth in creative arts with marketing and fundraising for an organization I love." -Mary Jo Green

Rode in a hot air balloon through the Rocky Mountains.

SOMEONE WHO IMPACTED ME:
My neighbor hired me to babysit her toddlers. She was a stay-at-home mom with a couple of jobs in the event industry. I learned how to care for young children as well as skills like sewing, cooking, art, computers, and serving VIPs at events. I was always in awe of the way she could create beautiful experiences in big and small events while raising young children.
ARTISTIC BACKGROUND:
I loved music and art class! I took piano lessons for 4 years and clarinet for 1. I wanted to play percussion, but that was typically more for “the guys.” Boo. I took many fine arts classes, but really preferred graphic arts and publishing. My parents encouraged me to create and never put limits on what I could dream artistically.
FAVORITE ANGELSTREET MEMORY:
Hosting pool parties throughout the Summer with our Angels! It’s exciting when my own children have opportunities to interact with our AngelStreet friends and help me behind the scenes in their own creative ways.
ANGELSTREET MOMENT OF IMPACT:
Helping 4 angels create live art on stage during our JUST LOVE concert in Spring 2019. This allowed our visual artists the opportunity to design and implement a beautiful piece of art. Additionally, they gained confidence while painting in front of a large audience and following production cues to complete the artistic experience while their peers sang our original song, “Just Love.”
SUPPORTING ANGELS:
Our family feels blessed to serve AngelStreet in various ways. Giving financially allows us to provide some tangible gifts in addition to our time and creative talent. We love to support smaller organizations and individuals who are committed to partnering with children, teens, and young adults to guide them to impact their peers through the gifts God gave them.
Each one should use whatever gift [s]he has received to serve others,
faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.
